In 1921, at Omegna in Italy, a talented sheet metal worker called Giovanni Alessi bought a plot of land and founded the company that bears his name - Alessi. He started making objects for the table and the home in copper, brass and nickel silver. Alessi was a real stickler for quality - the things he made quickly won acclaim for their workmanship and perfect finish. The Alessi company now employs 500 people who carry on Giovanni Alessi's tradition of quality. Of course, Alessi is also renowned for innovative designer products, many of which have become cult objects, such as Phillipe Starck's Juicy Salif Citrus Squeezer. Alessi have worked with hundreds of designers since the 1970s, and produce a wealth of products for your kitchen and home.
