The Rupert Rowley Professional Stainless Steel Knife Set is manufactured by one of the world's most respected kitchen knife manufacturers. The knives are made from high quality stainless steel and have comfort grip contoured handles for consistent cutting performance and are stone-ground, making them tapered from the back of the blade right to the cutting edge, giving an outstanding degree of sharpness. The set is supplied in a bamboo knife block with the following knives:

  • Sharpening Steel Rupert Rowley is head chef at the Michelin-starred Fischer's restaurant at Baslow Hall in Derbyshire, which was listed in the top 25 restaurants in the 2009 Good Food Guide. He was trained at Raymond Blanc's 'Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons' in Oxford. He then moved to the 2 Michelin-starred L'Ortolan in Reading and in 2001 he decided to brave the kitchens of Gordon Ramsay at his flagship 3 Michelin-starred Chelsea restaurant, before coming to Fischer's where he has been head chef since 2003. In 2005 he opened his own restaurant, Rowley's, which sits on the edge of the Chatsworth estate and is now one of the most popular eating destinations in Derbyshire. Rupert was born and bred in Sheffield, a city famous for its long history of producing outstanding knives, and he drew on this heritage when creating these stainless steel knives.

    Rupert is a born and bred Sheffield lad - King Edward School & Sheffield Catering College. As one of Mick Burke's prodigies at Sheffield College he secured a placement to Raymond Blanc's 'Manoir au Quat' Saison in Oxford. He was such a success, Raymond asked him to stay on, which he did until 1997.

    His next strategic career move took him to work for the infamous John Burton Race at the 2 Michelin starred L'Ortolan restaurant in Reading.

    In 2001 he decided to brave the kitchens of Gordon Ramsay at his flagship 3 Michelin starred Chelsea restaurant which he did for a year before going to Baslow Hall in 2002. In 2003 he was appointed Head Chef.
