Global knives are made from the finest stainless steel material. The blades utilise CROMOVA 18 stainless steel, ice tempered and hardened to Rockwell C56° - 58° which holds a razor sharp edge longer than any other steel and resists rust, stains and corrosion.
In 1985 Komin Yamada was given the remit of developing Global Knives - a truly revolutionary range of knives harnessing the most modern design concepts and the best available materials.
CROMOVA refers to the three key ingredients which make Global Knives uniquely impressive - Chromium, Molybdenum and Vanadium. The steel created using these particular elements in the perfect ratios is more stain resistent and is able to hold a sharper edge for longer than other steel mixes.
