kitchen. Sifting flour is one of the most common parts of any baking recipe
and a good quality sieve will last a lifetime. Colanders are equally
important - they can be used for a wide variety of tasks and different
materials suit different uses. A stainless steel or enamel colander is safest
for use over the hob as it will not melt if exposed to the direct heat, but
plastic or melamine colanders are lighter and usually more ergonomic and so
easier to handle when draining over the sink.
