T&G Woodware was formed in 1975 to fill a gap in the market for quality woodware. Their reliability and imagination paid dividends with many firsts in the industry such as care and protection for chopping boards and lifetime guarantees on salt and pepper mills. They were also responsible for the renaming of Rubberwood to Hevea (a shorteneing of the Latin 'hevea braziliensis'.
T&G have a strong environmental policy and wherever possible will only use materials from well managed and sustainable sources. They have been at the forefront of developing the Forestry Stewardship Council's housewares market and were a founder member of the World Wildlife Federation 95+ Group.
